Debbie DeMars
One of the greatest values Debbie brings as an independent consultant is her experience working in both operations and human resources in entry level through executive roles. It provides an operational reality filter in which to develop human capital and operations solutions and manage complex projects and timelines.
She gained 20 years of business experience with the Walt Disney Company; starting as frontline employee, spending several years in operations and human resources management, and completing her tenure as Director for Theme Parks & Resort expansions. Representative work included: leading cross-functional executive team to develop initial four-year master plan for human resources for an international theme park, executive level operational leadership for the opening of Disney's Animal Kingdom, and a project management senior role for the opening of Disney's California Adventure.
Additional executive level roles in human resources, operations or project management include: SVP HR for a startup casino / resort company in the northeast, working with a private developer and local Bahamian officials to start a school with a unique approach to training impoverished young adults to work in five star hospitality, lead HR and Internal Operations role for a real estate development / master planned community going through a period of high growth and multi year role working for Architect of the Capitol's Office in Washington DC.
She thrives on working with clients on simplistic, realistic, sustainable solutions.
